One of the most popular Thai spots in Philly and it did not disappoint !!! Food: 5/5. The food here was absolutely divine. Thai is one of my favorite cuisines and they did so incredibly well with all the flavors and food here. Everything was noticeably high quality (more than other places!), the flavors rich, and overall the flavors complemented each other well. Presentation was also perfect. Service: 5/5. Our waiter was friendly and attentive to our needs and gave us some good pointers/recommendations since we were having a difficult time deciding. Not much else to say other than that it was great! Atmosphere: 5/5. I absolutely loved it. The interior has a dark, purple-lit atmosphere and creates a moody sort of ambiance elevated for a perfect date night/friends night out. The decorations on the tables and around the restaurant are also super pretty. It is somewhat loud but you are still able to hold convo! Overall, highly recommend this spot for a relatively “higher end” Thai spot, and an elevated friends/date night!
Omg everything was SO GOOD and the vibes are perfect here!! We ordered the chicken satay skewers & chicken pad see ew and both were amazing. We also got cute cocktails which were great as well. I highly recommend!!
If I could give Grandma’s Philly 10 stars for their Drunken Noodles alone, I would. Perfect spice, packed with flavor, and already worth a return trip. We also had their Crab Rangoon and Panang Curry— all very good. The real standout, though, was our waiter, Liam. He gave thoughtful recommendations, honest opinions about the menu, and made us feel genuinely welcome from the start. Liam was attentive, friendly, and constantly helping guests with kindness and warmth. You could tell he truly cared about everyone having a great experience. Great food brings people in, but employees like Liam make people come back. Can’t wait to return for those Drunken Noodles again! Already thinking about it! 😋
We enjoyed Grandma’s Philly after exploring the beautiful Museum of Art, and it was the perfect addition to our day. It was my birthday weekend celebration, and my family, who are native New Yorkers residing in Jersey City, and my partner, who is originally from Kathmandu, Nepal, all enjoyed the food here. The service was amazing, and our waiter for the day, Vladimir, was attentive and well-versed in the menu. He explained everything to us, offered great suggestions, and topped off the day with a yummy dessert for my birthday. I’m diagnosed with Level 2 autism and ADHD, and I appreciated that he did not sing “Happy Birthday” and instead simply brought out a beautiful, yummy cake to end our day. The food, service, ambiance, and Vladimir were all great! I highly recommend this restaurant.
The best meal! The Khao Soi curry noodle was absolutely amazing - rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Every bite was comforting and packed with depth. Easily one of the most delicious dishes I’ve had. Highly recommend! Make a reservation in advance also
This place is a great find! I wish this place was in my hometown. We stayed in town two days and decided we had to eat here a second time. We loved the curry puffs, crab rangoon especially. The espresso martini was great as well! Our sever Vladimir was outstanding. Excellent service and a big reason why we returned.
Jennifer was amazing and attentive. The supporting staff was quick and curtious. She took her time with explaining the menu and made suggestions as I can tell she realized I was not from the area. The food was amazing and flavorful. The service quick! Atmosphere was on point. The theme of the place is inviting fun and vibrant. I will be back for sure.
1. The ambiance walking in was great. Definitely lively, lovely decor. 2. Servers were very helpful, even with a little spill on my part (sorry!), service was great. 3. Food - delicious. I will come back to explore the menu. The drunken noodles - our server (Kelshi?) told us it was different from the usual noodles and I agree. So much better, lighter, perfect spice. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend.
Had a great dinner here! Ordered the Thai papaya salad (spice level 5 was really spicy and refreshing!), grilled sticky rice with pork (may have been my favorite bite! loved the way they cooked the pork), khao-soi (spicy, creamy, coconutty, just perfectttt), and the red curry with roasted duck. All were delicious! Will come back and definitely recommend to try.
Really loved the appetizers and ambiance here, recommend getting a lot of plates to share with a group. The standout dishes for us were the crispy pork belly, grandma’s meatballs, and the cocktails! Vladimir was our server and very attentive and knowledgeable.
